Work
We publish what we are allowed to publish
Topiary is a new firm. Rather than fill this page with anonymised numbers you have no way to check, here is the standard any case study we publish will have to meet.
The standard
Most agency case studies would not survive a conversation with a finance director.
They report attributed revenue as though it were incremental, quote percentages without a baseline, and omit every test that lost. We would rather show you nothing than show you that. When there is work we can write up properly, each entry will carry the following.
What we measured, and how
The metric, the window, and the method — including whether there was a holdout, and what we could not isolate.
What we actually changed
The specific work, in enough detail that someone in the same position could evaluate whether it applies to them.
What it was worth
In money, against the cost of the engagement. Percentage uplifts without a baseline are decoration.
What did not work
The tests that lost and the assumptions that were wrong. A case study with no failures in it is an advertisement.
In the meantime, ask us for references
We can talk you through work we have done and, where the client agrees, introduce you to someone who has worked with us. That is worth more than a page of numbers anyway.
